MABB – Malmö Artist’s Book Biennial is a Swedish and International exhibition and selling platform for art works that are inspired by the structural and conceptual properties of the book form.
MABB was arranged for the first time 2018, and invited both national and international artists, publishers, booksellers and organizations to participate in the first International fair for artists’ books in Sweden – an art genre that is attracting more and more attention.
MABB2020 was ment to take place 8–10 May 2020, with the public fair at Victoria-teatern on Friday and Saturday. Due to the coronavirus pandemic we are forced to postpone next MABB to 6–8 May 2022.
A program of seminars will be part of MABB2022, for both exhibitors and visitors. This year the seminars, have a special interest in the libraries task of collecting, preserving and providing artist’s books. MABB2022 will also feature a day (Sunday) of workshops for professionals with experienced book making artist as leaders.
As 2018 the fair 2022 will be held at Victoriateatern in the centre of Malmö. The 100 years old theatre has visitors from all ages and backgrounds. It is a nationally recognized scene that mixes film, theater, stand-up, music etc. It is situated within a 5-minute walk from Triangeln train station, with a 30-minute connection to Denmark and Copenhagen International Airport.
